Funny, I was thinking about this just this week, but a little in the opposite direction. We were cleaning out some of my mom’s old stuff and ran across some 78rpm records and an old 78 speed record player (which, alas, no longer works). I was thinking of how the move to LPs (33rpm) finally allowed records to contain full symphonies. Or ELP’S Karn Evil 9 (although that did require you flip to the other side).
